What makes a man a real man?
Personally I find that men I know as "real men" have widely different qualities, and I am having trouble finding something they all have in common.
"What makes a man, is it the woman in his arms,
just cause she has big tities?
Is it the way that he fight every day?
No its probably the tities!"
What makes a real man?
A man is measured not by his strength, or how many lives he takes,
but rather by how well he can dance.
From Lars and the Real Girl:
"Lars Lindstrom: I was talking to Bianca, and she was saying that in her culture they have these rites of passages and rituals and cermonies, and, just all kinds of things that, when you do them, go through them, let you know that you're an adult? Doesn't that sound great?
Gus: It does.
Lars Lindstrom: How'd you know?
Gus: How'd I know what?
Lars Lindstrom: That you were a man
Gus: Ahhh. I couldn't tell ya.
Lars Lindstrom: Was it... okay, was it sex?
Gus: Um. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's uh, yeah, yeah it's kind of - it's uh - no. Well, it's kind of sex but it's not uh, you know? I don't know. I don't know. It's - uh - good question, good question.
Lars Lindstrom: Yeah, but I have to know
Gus: [dryer buzzes] Hold that thought.
Gus: [in basement] You know, you should ask Dagmar
Lars Lindstrom: I did ask Dagmar. And she said that I should ask you.
Gus: Okay, you know I can only give you my opinion.
Lars Lindstrom: That's what we want
Gus: Well, it's not like you're one thing or the other, okay? There's still a kid inside but you grow up when you decide to do right, okay, and not what's right for you, what's right for everybody, even when it hurts.
Lars Lindstrom: Okay, like what?
Gus: Like, you know, like, you don't jerk people around, you know, and you don't cheat on your woman, and you take care of your family, you know, and you admit when you're wrong, or you try to, anyways. That's all I can think of, you know - it sound like it's easy and for some reason it's not."
Being a man has as many meanings as the people who think it, but generally is assuming your role in life, and sticking to it.

A man is a human being who doesn't have a stinky snatch between their legs and isn't in the kitchen making me dinner

Being able to stuff all your emotions into a little black ball deep inside of yourself - until it inevitably kills you.
What makes a real man? Only the following.
- Penis.
- Wearing Plaid.
- Becoming a Lumberjack or a Pirate.
- Eating Beef Jerkey.
- Kicking Ass.
- Boners.
- Copping a Feel.
An ode to Maddox.
My sister thinks I'm an idiot for caring so much about lumberjacks, so she interviewed me for a report she was doing.
Her: Wo cares about Lumberjacks?
Me: Me.
Her: Why do you care about lumberjacks?
Me: Because they're manly.
Her: But it's just a profession. What's so special about someone who cuts down trees every day?
Me: No, being a lumberjack is'nt a professionm it's who they are. People are born lumberjacks, like you're born a moron.
Her: Why do you think they're manly?
Me: Because they chop down trees and they're hairy. They wear plaid.
Her: I don't think they're manly. I think they're stupid. They cut down trees by using their muscle instead of their brains. That's why they're stupid.
Me: You can't cut down trees with brains. You need an Axe.
After I learned how she felt about lumberjacks, I called her a Nazi Bitch.
It doesn't matter if you are girly, manly, or somewhere in-between. Praising masculinity but not femininity is inherently misogynistic.
I'm sure you're heard "Manly man" being used as a compliment, but have you ever heard of "girly girl" being used as a compliment? Hell no. We have tried to rid ourselves of it, but misogyny is still deeply rooted into society worldwide.
I know. I take everything way too seriously.

Agreed. The only differences between men and women are physical differences.
Not having any chest hair.

" The resolve to protect the things you care about, no matter what it takes. "I think it sounds better like this.
