What's your single most anticipated game of 2012?

Surely I can't be the only one?

Edit: because it's a return to form of two of my favourite games of all time. Games which gave new meaning to familiar places in the Mario universe Mushroom Kingdom, gave voices to familiar, formerly mute characters, which flawlessly combined platforming and puzzling elements with original turn-based yet heavily timing-reliant combat, had stories that despite being light were very well written and funny and that of course had excellentmusic. I really hope that, despite what's been shown so far, there will once again be partners in this game. Finding those, getting to use their abilities not only in battle but to interact with the environments as well and seeing how they all react differently throughout story conversations for me made what would've otherwise already had been great games, fantastic games. It's been more than seven years since the last one, I think we're about due for another (Super Paper Mario doesn't count).

I'm also looking forward to Darksiders II and Far Cry 3.

As of right now, Mass Effect 3.

Is GTA V coming out this year? I loved GTA IV, and free roam with friends was one of the best things ever.

If not, then SSX. I've played an unhealthy amount of SSX Tricky over the years but never really played any of the others. Now I'm ready for more.

Max Payne 3. I'm a huge fan of the first two games. I was a bit sceptic at first when I heard that Remedy wasn't developing it, but from what I've seen so far it has retained what made it special in the first place and still managed to make it current and interesting.

Worthwhile mentions: Mass Effect 3 and Alan Wake's American Nightmare.

Mass Effect 3 because as of now Mass Effect 2 is probably my favorite 360 game and I wanna see how this saga ends.

Diablo 3, Mass Effect 3 and Bioshock Infinite.

Bioshock: Infinite............... also Diablo

Borderlands 2 because it is more Borderlands.

Borderlands 2 with Mass Effect 3 miles behind it.

I guess Ninja Gaiden 3. I'm really curious if Team Ninja screws it up.

Bioshock Infinite and Mass Effect 3. I'm also cautiously anticipating Prey 2.

I'm with you on Twisted Metal, pretty excited to see how it turns out. Some fresh competitive multiplayer would be much appreciated, the by then numbers FPS's are starting to really wear on me. Plus that game just looks stupid fun.

Runners up are Bioshock Infinite (I like that the first run of the PS3 version will include the original Bioshock. It's been years sense I've played it and if you put a gun to my head, I would say it's probably my favorite game this generation.)

Also GTA V, if it comes out. A new GTA is always worth getting excited over.

Yea other than ME3 and Halo 4, it looks like it's going to be a slow year.

Hopefully there's a new great IP in 2012, because this sequel after sequel FPS shit is getting stale.

Diablo 3? I don't know, not many things I can think of at the moment that have been announced that I'm really anticipating besides Diablo 3, Darksiders II, and I'm curious to see what 343 does with Halo 4.

Armored Core V

probably mass effect 3 and kingdoms of amalur reckoning. If GTA V comes out this year, then that too.

Probably the one I'm MOST excited about though, is probably Darksiders II. Either that or Metal Gear Rising.

I would say Mass Effect 3, but after Dragon Age II...eh...we'll see.

My knee-jerk response would be Diablo 3 or Bioshock Infinite. But if I really think about it, Alan Wake: American Nightmare excites me more. I know how insane that is.

SSX is the only one that really comes to mind. I loved SSX 3 so as long as it's basically that with more levels and upgraded graphics, I'll be happy. those wingsuits look like a dope addition though.

I looked at your list to get more of an overview of what's coming out and Lollipop Chainsaw was the only thing on it I 'might' be interested in.

There is that Devil May Cry reboot where I'm interested in seeing where they take it but I'm not convinced I'll pick it up when it gets here.

Would have to say Mass Effect 3. There's just too much on the line for this one, and if it is what it looks like its gonna be (Uncharted-esque shooting action and little of Mass Effect 2's focus on conversation-kinda-stuff) it probably means an end to Bioware as we know.

Unless they pull something like Dragon Age 3 off and it manages to be as good as the first one, but after Dragon Age 2 if Mass Effect 3 ends up being a bust too, then Bioware is gonna be fucked.

Now what I'm looking forward to is PSN type stuff, and Bioshock Infinite. Oh, and that FFXII-2 which is supposed to be good but... really? After XII-1? Reeeeaaally?

After all I'll be looking out for Saints Row, Dead Space 2, LA Noire, Shadows of the Damned, Rayman and Batman... I'm thinking '12 is pretty much gonna be '11's hangover.

The Darkness II, I REALLY enjoyed the Darkness, I enjoyed it way more than most people.
