What's your single most anticipated game of 2012?

I am most looking forward to the new Twisted Metal. Everything I have seen for this game looks like fun and their are very few people in this industry that are as passionate as David Jaffe. This game could very well be both the return of FMV as well as the return of the car combat genre. I also made a full list of my 12 most anticipated games if anyone cares to see my full breakdown.

So which game is above and beyond everything else on your radar that is coming out this year?

My single most anticipated game? .. 
Erhm.. Yeah that Bioshock Infinite game, I guess.

If I had to pick one... Bioshock Infinite.

Probably Last of Us, if it comes out in 2012, it has a rare combination of a proven developer and being a somewhat unknown quantity.

If not Mass Effect 2 or Tomb Raider.

Assuming The Last Guardian won't come out in 2012, which we all know it won't, and Alan Wake's American Nightmare is a complete joke, which we all know it is, it has to be this one:

Borderlands 2

Guild Wars 2

Mass Effect 3

Diablo 3

In that order. I couldn't pick just a single one without feeling bad for leaving out the others.

Nothing 2012 looks kinda sucky so far.

Halo 4.

SSX is on top right now.

Diablo 3 is a close second.

Mass Effect 3 is a very distant third.

Diablo 3, followed by Darksiders II, followed by Mists of Pandaria and Guild Wars.

Bioshock Infinite.    

Then Persona 4 Golden, Gravity Rush, and Grand Knights History.  Hoping my interest in Mass Effect 3 returns as the release date gets closer.

The new Persona if it's announced, otherwise StarCraft HotS.

Man, there are a lot that equal to another in anticipation, but if we're talking about right now, at this one point in time, I'd have to say Prey 2. I love Blade Runner inspired-like games. So with that said, I probably shouldn't leave out Syndicate as well, because that looks great too. There's too many to just say one though, so I really don't have a choice.

Mass Effect 3, so far. Bioshock Infinite would come in at a close second. I'm probably forgetting a bunch of games, though.

Akai Katana Shin. Cave always develop kickass games, and the demo was a blast.

Metro Last Light and Prey 2 for me. Those two may end up being some real heavy hitters.

If the new GTA game is coming out next year, then that. I love me some Rockstar Games.

If not I'm probably most excited for Mass Effect 3.

Edit: When I said next year, I meant this year. For some reason I still thought it was 2011.

My most anticipated games are Deus Ex: HR, Dragon Age 1 + 2, and Skyrim.

Only thing I care enough to buy day one thus far this year is FF13-2 to be honest, and after the random impressions of folks who have already played it on this board it sounds like exactly what I was expecting. FF13 with a ton of stuff to do other than "go kill this" missions (not that I hated those considering I s-ranked the game, but still).

The new Persona if it's announced, otherwise StarCraft HotS.

Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena. But there's so much else I'm excited about. 2012 will definitely be a better year for me than 2011 was in gaming.

Thanks for answering the "and why" part. That's what I what I wanted to know most. Not so much the what but the why. :/

BioShock Infinite for me.

Fallout 4. Especially if it's set in a rural setting (i.e. Rocky Mts.)

Mass Effect 3, followed closely by Diablo 3, Bioshock Infinite, and Darksiders II.

Atlus's new game if it's a console RPG that has a 360 version (I would prefer SMT4 to Persona 5, but it's fine either way), if it's not out this year then... Crusader Kings 2 or SSX. I dunno. Crusader Kings 2 will be a version of Crusader Kings that is not terribly designed, and SSX just looks amazing in all ways.
