Zombies are pretty established and their weaknesses known. An alien civilization may differ wildly from their interpretations in films, comics, games, etc. Thus, their weaknesses would not be known. Also, I would like to find Emma Stone post-zombie apocalypse and live out my Zombieland fan fiction stories. lol. Actually, I would just like to survive.
Anyone who says aliens is doomed. Aliens would bring bacteria and disease unknown to man, and thus the bacteria and diseases would wipe much of humanity out.
Zombies are way cooler. I can't wait for the zombie apocalypse.
I think we atleast have a chance of stopping Zombies. Aliens would probaly have tech that are 1,000s of years ahead of ours. im talking force fields, lazers, heatrays, crap like that.
@Eaxis: F that man I am not becoming no aliens pet/slave that is really going out like a punk. Those aliens can pet these nuts then shoot me. Bring on the zombies I can out run those fools and stand toe to toe with them. Just as long as one doesn't catch me by surprise. I am not out running no damn TIE Fighter though.
Zombies if you want a better chance of living. However I choose aliens as it would be the most amazing thing to see right before humanity is obliterated. Not that I wish for it mind you.
Depends on what kind of zombies. Are they the running zombies of Zombieland, Dawn of the Dead remake, and 28 Days Later? Are they the George Romero slow but able to learn zombies ? Or the Max Brooks slow and stupid kind ? Also what about the aliens. Are they lame and allergic to water like in Signs ? Are they out to exterminate the human race ? Do they want to enslave us ? Or use us as livestock ?
Aliens, because I feel dealing with zombies would be worse. Having to kill family members and such would be difficult. Killing an alien? No problem, at least emotionally.
Shit. Wanted to choose Zombies chose aliens by mistake. The army or something can protect us against Zombies, but there's no guarantee how dangerous the aliens could be.
Zombie apocalypse. I feel as though I could survive that.
Find a location that's walled in, and has two or more stories. Destroy the stairs and start using ladders. That way if the zombies breach the walls, you can evacuate upstairs and retract the ladders. Then kill the zombies at your leisure from afar before repairing the walls. Plant gardens within the walls for food. Secure green energy when possible, especially solar panels and batteries, and use that on the roof for warm water and other luxuries when possible.
Eventually, the living dead should rot away.
Aliens? Any life with the means and know how to traverse the endless light years to reach us will possess technology that's equitable to magic (to us). They will be unbeatable and likely view us as we do chickens or germs. I don't want to be around if that ever happens.

Oh yeah I forgot all about that I have this guide too. Until they have a Alien Invasion Survival Guide I am still going to have to stick with zombies. As for the killing family members argument oh well they were already dead when the zombie killed them. They creature isn't my momma no more.
Aliens. Aliens are smart and if we just lay it down and admit defeat things might be ok for us and we'd be their butlers, maids, errand boys, etc. Zombies are a never stopping horde whose sole purpose is to kill us. They don't sleep and they don't tire out. Life would be hell. Especially if it's turbo speed rocket zombies with special abilities like Left 4 Dead.
Butlers > having to shotgun your sister because she got bitten.
I honestly don't understand how zombies would ever become much of a problem. After the first few infections the Gov't would quarantine the infected place and that would be the end of that. Even in zombie movies the main method of people getting killed by zombies involved the humans simply being overrun by the sheer number of zombies but how would the zombies get to be that many in the first place if they rely on their numbers to bite and recruit more members? (never mind the fact that zombies eat humans, supposedly not leaving a body left to become a zombie.)
That said, I would most certainly choose the zombie disaster because I don't think it would be too hard to survive whereas any aliens advanced enough to find our planet, determine it contained life, and make it all the way here would have no problems wiping us out and the title implies a violent take-over.
On second thought, aliens would be much more interesting, if they were just looking to enslave the human race I wouldn't mind that much, but who knows what the aliens would do?
Aliens. They would obviously be highly intelligent which suggests to me that they most likely would also have developed some sort of morals or ethics so they may offer a chance to surrender or resolve the conflict in a peaceful manner before it escalates. Not to mention the fact that an intelligent alien species would have no reason to obliterate our planet outright. They would gain nothing from such an act.(yeah it happened in Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy but that didn't really make sense.)
A zombie apocalypse could prove to be a great bonding experience for me and my shotgun but I've always, always, always wanted to be kidnapped by aliens. And an alien invasion is my best chance at getting my galactic amber alert on.
