Yo so coffee question

What do you guys think would happen if somehow a big can of coffee magically got thrown in my neighbors pool? Would it stain the pool and make it smell like coffee for a long time?

Is it instant coffee?  If it's brewing coffee, nothing will probably happen other than clogging the filter, but instant might stain.  
 
Sounds like someone is planning a shenanigan.

It will likely just sink to the bottom unless stirred by a cleaner, then clog the filters. No stainng that cant just be bleached out.
Speaking of which, if you wanted to be a real asshole/terrorist, get ahold of the chlorine....

Throw a few litres of red food colouring in there. 
May look like blood and very cool, or it may dilute and leave the water slightly pink.
 
At the very least the pool will have fun coloured grout

It would have to be instant and a lot of it.

The best way to know is to try it out.

Nothing would happen if it was properly chlorinated

If you want to mess with a persons pool you have to use laundry detergent. Make sure you pour it in the filter for maximum effectiveness.

This needs to happen and it needs to be recorded with video or either pictures.

You never know until you try it, as long as we aren't neighbors. ;)

Yeah, what kind of coffee are we talking here? Whole beans? Coffee grounds? Instant coffee? Either way, you do it and your neighbors may have a legitimate reason to kill you.

Okay well i didn't find out that the coffee grounds completely stained, clogged the filters, and it so does not smell like coffee from where i stand in my yard. My neighbors also did not file a police report and have them come to there house at 4:36pm this afternoon. This all never happened but if it did i would laugh my ass off for at least 2 hours in my room while on xbox live with my buddies. This DID NOT HAPPEN

Who knows? Maybe they'd be delighted to have a pool full of coffee. Maybe they're coffee aficionados. Maybe you'd be doing them a SERVICE. Think about it. I mean, we all enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. Who wouldn't be stoked to have a massive quantity of coffee that they could swim in?

This will end amazingly, I can't wait for the results.
