I've had this problem with a girl before. And I know first-hand how hard it is to cope with it.
But if I'm honest, I know that even IF you do go out with her, then the relationship would go nowhere. If she acts all cool when you're present, then I'm sorry man, but it just doesn't sound like she feels the same. If you manage to go out with her, then it'll just be a one-sided relationship, and that would make you feel even worse. Yeah, it can get worse than it is right now...
But for your sake, don't end it. I honestly know how hard it is to make it through something like this, but there are other ways to move on, than taking your own life. I used art. And video games, and music. The way of the universe is that the good and the bad always balance each other out. Your good is on the way, you just gotta hold out for it.
But hey, if even that fails, then there's always rebound girls. Or even become a spinster. Or run away. Just remember how selfish it is to take your own life. Think of all the people you'd be hurting just because of a girl that wouldn't miss you as much as you'd miss her if she died.
