@pornstorestiffi: Admittedly, the easiest settings D: but even then it still took ages. I started with normal and permadeath too, but I gradually ended up on easy and without permadeath. I guess one good thing about finishing it on easy is now I've got a pretty good grasp of how the game pans out, which will probably make it a lot more manageable if I decide to go back and do it on hard.
How about some Napoleon Total War? I don't thin this game got what it deserved, it was shoved under the rug as simply an expansion to the poorly received Empire Total War, in fact this game goes out of it's way to fix problems with Empire, going as far as to completely redesign what was expected of the player during the main campaign and to make generals something that you really cared about, not just threw away as free heavy cavalry (we've all done it).

I must have misunderstood you somehow - the poorly received Empire Total War? I'm sure its safe to assume that you know that Empire was among the most critically acclaimed Total War games in the series, certainly better received than Napoleon (which as good as well though perhaps not as innovative).
Been wanting to check that game out for a long time. But haven't pulled the trigger on it yet.
Some StarCraft 2 shots taken from the cinematics. Really enjoyed the single player part of SC2 when it launched, been thinking about going back and making the opposite choices of what i did the first time around. Probably won't have a huge impact, but still wan't to see the outcome.

Oh my mistake, I just wrote that convinced that people hadn't liked Empire. It was very buggy and unstable on release so I thought that the reviews would have reflected that, I don't ever read reviews if I'm honest, just previews and forum threads. I enjoyed Empire personally but my problem with it was that most armies were carbon copies of each other, just with different uniform colours. Of course you had the Indians and Native Americans to mix things up but a land war in Europe got a bit tedious after a while as you ended up facing the same armies over and over. After playing Medieval 2 where each army had it's own personality and a lot more unique units I got tired of Empire quickly. But Shogun 2? That's a good Total War game.
@pornstorestiffi: PROTIP: Add this to your RSS reader of choice, it's a great way to save yourself a hell of a lot of money if your patient or impulsive enough. In truth it's probably cost me more in the long run than if I hadn't found it but I have a lot more games to show for it lol.
Does anybody know where to find pictures you took on Steam? I know you can view them through Steam, but how would I go about putting them on here?

Well, by default, Fraps saves things as bitmap, which doesn't use any compression.
Hrm, been using BMP's as output for Fraps too, but i still don't find they mirror what i saw on screen. But i guess it's still better than compress JPG.

Can you choose .PNG? Those usually carry a much better quality than .JPG files.

Actually yes, i should try that next time. Don't know why never thought of that.
Also Mass Effect 2. I love this game. Such a great story and pretty as hell. I have more screenshots of this than any other game, except maybe Team Fortress 2

Well, some advice if you do want to give it another shot:
Take buses and vehicles as much as you can. There's definitely no shortage of cars just lying around.
Don't try to do all the optional stuff (buddy missions, radio tower missions, diamonds etc...)
Avoid going in all guns blazing - my favourite weapons so far: grenade launcher, crossbow, druganov sniper rifle. Basically, stuff that causes explosions or is good at killing guys from a distance.
Sleeping in safe houses will allow you to run for longer without getting the screen distort effect.
Do a few underground missions to get more medication. You want to try to be on the lowest malaria level.
You don't need to fight everyone you encounter. You can walk/drive around a lot of the guard posts.
If you're going to buy stuff from the shop, I would start with weapon crates and health upgrades.
There's no morality system, so just do whatever story mission you want, it really doesn't matter.
Try not to pick up weapons from the ground - they're are usually crap and will jam.
@BeachThunder: FYI i played it on release for over 10 hours and kept going until i reached the new area where i had to defend a big ship until it reached the docks (thats pretty far in, right?).. I loved it and played for 3 days straight, FC2 exclusively.. i even stopped playing Battlefield that week.
But then on the fourth day, something collapsed in me, something cracked. I could not endure going through ONE MORE checkpoint or running into one more random hostile jeep dude. Couldn't endure that inaccurate car GPS for one more mile.
And you just made me wanna re-install it. well fuck YOU (j/k) i'm not doing it!! I'M NOT DOING IT! oh the memories, the HORROR!!!

That is correct sir. And if i where you i would make sure to check out the Quick Look of it, as its a very... well hard game to get into for many reasons.
