Played Transistor at PAX East a few weeks ago and loved the level they showed off. Who else can't wait for this game to come out?
Preorder Hype Train :D
I was unsure whether it had a simultaneous PC release or not, looks like it does. I hope they get around to printing an artbook of some sort in the future, Jen Zee is definitely one of my favorite artists.
I'm currently considering options that some would consider less than wise in order to have a ps4 by the 20th. I thought I would have more notice.
I am still unsure how I feel about $20 digital games. I'm sure Transistor is worth it, but my gut is arguing with my brain.

I'm kind of over it already. I felt like I got $20 worth out of Trials Fusion so now I'm over the hump. PS+ often discounts a lot of games at launch so that helps also.

The ideal I strive for is to look at purchases as a pure measure of personal value. I don't care how the game is delivered or what size its budget or developer is. Two things matter: how much of a desirable experience does the game have to offer me, and how much will it cost me? Any price is potentially viable if matched by an appropriately desirable experience. I've played $60 games that gave me less than $60 worth of desirable experiences (i.e. bad purchases) and free games that gave me so many great experiences that they could have justified a price of $100 or more to me.
Regarding Transistor specifically, I'm optimistic and excited about it, but I'll wait until it's out before deciding on buying it. Once it's out, I'll be able to check out representative video of the game being played and read reviews and fan feedback to get an idea of what the game really has to offer, then I'll compare that with the asking price and decide whether to buy it.
Buying it through the Humble store saved me a couple euros, sorry Supergiant if that's out of your pocket.
I was checking the steam store every day specifically to see if it was available for preorder yet. Once it went up, I purchased it (+ soundtrack) within 15 seconds of noticing.
I'M PRETTY HYPED.
Pre-ordered a few days ago and ready to play this game. As for the price, I guess $20 is going to be normal for a while.
Preordered last week. Between Xbox having Super Time Force and PS4 having Transistor, this has been a great month for indie games.
@somberowl: doesn't seem to be, no
Yeah I got my ticket for the train a couple of weeks ago... Can't wait for this game... it is looking great...
ive only heard the two pieces of music but i wouldn't be surprised if the soundtrack tops bastion's.
I would love a physical limited edition of this with a hardbound art book and soundtrack CD. That would be awesome.
I'm really excited for this game and it is probably why I can't settle down and play a game for more than a few minutes at a time these last few days.
Is there a way to preorder Transistor on the European PS4 PSN Store? I'm definitely getting this day 1, if there are some goodies to be had for preordering, I'd do that.
No real reason to preorder, I am just going to get it when it becomes available. If I can predownload oon the ps4 then that's fine, but I am not sure if that's possible.

Yeah, this game should not be that huge, but where is pre-loading on the PS4 anyway? I really hoped that would be a thing this gen, it would certainly help to sell copies too.
@quipido:
Someone on IGN asked if they could preload, Greg said it wouldn't be available for it. I Shot SG a question on twitter, but haven't gotten a reply.
I pre-ordered the game and am very excited to play it. We'll see how much I get in before I'm out of town for Memorial Day and then start Watch Dogs, though...
Normally, I pre-order PC games for the pre-order deals, and I found it "odd" that Transistor didn't have any pre-order deals. However, I'm confident in that team, really love the art-style, aesthetic, sci-fi setting, concept, what I've seen of the gameplay.
