In Norse literature, berserkers are described as intense warriors who fought in a wild and uncontrollable fury. Many game have based characters or classes on the concept of these rage-driven warriors.
The IXth of the founding Space Marine legions, based on the world Baal. They tragically suffer from conditions called The Black Rage and the Red Thirst which, when they happen in a given Blood Angel, drives them mad.
An attack that does more damage than usual, usually affected by random chance and some sort of modifier.
A natural or special ability that stem from a being's grudge towards another being, class or race, making the character hit fiercer and/or more often.
Krunchas are big, lumbering kremlings, somewhat similar to Donkey Kong Country's krushas. They have the ability to become enraged and thus even harder to defeat.
Rage was first seen in World of warcraft. It is required by a warrior to use some of their abilities. Rage is increased when the warrior uses some of their abilities. Rage is also used by druids who are shape-shifted into bear form.
The act of an enemy growing more aggressive due to player action.
Scarfy is a floating enemy from the Kirby Series. It mutates into a more threatening form if Kirby attempts to inhale it.
A condition which affects a character's effectiveness, either positively or negatively. Common examples include Poison or Haste.
Whether by item or otherwise, temporary invincibility provides the user a brief moment where they are impervious to attack.
Wigglers are enemies that look like caterpillars. They first appeared in Super Mario World, where if Mario, Luigi, or Yoshi jumped on it, the Wiggler would turn red and start running fast, as well as being able to move in the character's direction.
