Yoshi is a recurring character in the Mario franchise and has since gone on to star in his own games.
Princess Peach Toadstool is usually the damsel in distress from the Mario franchise. She gets kidnapped frequently by Bowser, though she's not averse to being captured by various other villains from time to time.
Poochy is Yoshi's canine pal and he happily carries Yoshi and Baby Mario on his back across lava and spikes in Yoshi's Island. He was also one of the bosses in Tetris Attack, having been brainwashed by Bowser and Kamek.

Wario is Mario's rival and doppelganger; a crude garlic-loving brute with an obsession with treasure. Wario's name is a portmanteau of the word "warui" ('bad' in Japanese) "Mario".

Kirby is the pink, puffy, and powerful hero of Planet Popstar. He was a young traveler who came to Dream Land with the Spring Breeze, and has lived there ever since. He's famous for his ability to inhale anything, including his enemies, to copy their abilities and transform.
King Dedede is the self-made king of Dream Land and Kirby's friendly rival who has appeared in many games.
One of Winnie the Pooh's friends who lives in the 100 Acre Wood. Loves gardening and tidiness. He also appeared in Kingdom Hearts.
Rosalina is a character from the Mario Universe who first appeared in Super Mario Galaxy as an NPC before becoming a playable character in later appearances. She is voiced by Mercedes Rose in all of her appearances to date.
Diddy Kong made his first appearance in 1994 as Donkey Kong's side-kick in Donkey Kong Country for the SNES. Since then, he has starred in numerous Donkey Kong games, his own Diddy Kong Racing games and Mario sports titles. He wears a red Nintendo hat.
The Original Donkey Kong made his debut in the game of the same name, where he tossed barrels at his nemesis Mario. His grandson, Donkey Kong Jr., went on to create a legacy of his own in games such as Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze.
Kine is a fish who is capable of transporting Kirby through strong underwater currents. When traveling with Kirby, he has the power to alter what Kirby's copy abilities do.
Kapp'n is a ferry operator, taxi driver and bus driver from the Animal Crossing franchise.
Magolor is a mysterious (and mischievous) interdimensional traveling magician hailing from Another Dimension. Though things got a bit hectic when he first crash landed on Planet Popstar, that's all in the past thanks to Kirby, who he's become good friends with.
Chrom is a primary character for Fire Emblem: Awakening. A descendant of Marth the Hero King, he fights for the Halidom of Ylisse with his hand-picked militia and his ancestor's Falchion sword.
Sonic the Hedgehog is one of the world's most famous video game characters and the mascot of Sega Enterprises Ltd. Sonic was introduced on June 23 1991 with the launch of Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis. His super speed makes him one of the fastest fictional characters.
Zelda is the titular figure of The Legend of Zelda. She is most often depicted as the princess of Hyrule.
Bandit is a character that first appeared in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island for the Super Nintendo. They would later appear in the Paper Mario series.
Falco Lombardi is the cocky and sarcastic best friend of Fox McCloud. Despite his poor attitude, he is an expert pilot and has saved Fox several times.
Roll is Mega Man's "younger sister." She plays a support role in many of the Mega Man games.
