Griggs can initially be found at the bottom of the Undead Burg. Use the Basement Key to unlock the door at the beginning of the bridge guarded by the Hellkite Dragon. After climbing down the ladder and descending the staircase, turn around and head to the right. Griggs can be heard shouting for help from behind a locked door. You'll need the Residence Key to unlock the door, which you can either buy from the Undead Merchant in the upper Undead Burg or simply loot from his corpse.
After unlocking the door, Griggs will travel to Firelink Shrine. He can be found near the well in front of the cliff path that leads back up to the Undead Burg.
Griggs will sell the player basic spells and sorcery-related items, provided the player has 10 Intelligence or higher.
Buying all spells from Griggs will cause him to appear hollowed in Sen's Fortress in the room where the Black Sorcerer set is acquired.
