I managed to somehow validate my e-mail yesterday during the launch chaos week and as soon as I did I had about 128 messages from arena net stating that someone across the world is trying to access into my account. To those of you who have validated your emails lets make this into a game?
Guild Wars 2
Game » consists of 3 releases. Released Aug 28, 2012
Guild Wars 2 is an online RPG developed by ArenaNet, and continues the subscriptionless business model of the original Guild Wars. The game is set about 250 years after the events of its predecessor in a world devastated by the ancient elder dragons resurfacing after millennia of slumber.
I've had 128 login attempts on my account.
I wonder what causes some people to be targeted over others? I'm not going to jinx myself, but it's weird how random it is.I managed to somehow validate my e-mail yesterday during the launch chaos week and as soon as I did I had about 128 messages from arena net stating that someone across the world is trying to access into my account. The usual way: Signing up on a message board or "Guild Wars fan site" with less than hardened system. Browsing Guild Wars 2 info on a machine or network that is not hardened. Even having a legacy Guild Wars account active on social services. Even the information we've been leaving on GiantBomb.com gives them hints.

The fact that it's 128 makes me suspicious. It's such a computer number.
It's the number of non-negative values in a signed byte, or half the values in an unsigned byte.
Account hackers are gross. Here's hoping you're still secure. Might want to change your credentials if only to feel more comfortable.
I've had about 3 reset password emails sent to me (actual ones, not phising ones) from someone trying to get my account.
I don't even have GW2 so no idea why the hell they're targeting me. Tempted to accept one just to know they'll be disappointed when they login and there's nothing there.

Only if you count 0 as non-negative.
Wait, zero is non-negative, I assumed you said positive. Is zero positive?
Hey guys, thanks for fucking with my brain.

heh. Zero is neither positive nor negative. Though, it is an even number.

Change passwords to everything important to you, scan the heck outta your system for infections and pray.

MATH TIME!!
Switch to Gmail, if you haven't already, and keep separate adresses / passwords for each game account you own.
Turn on 2-step verification for each email account.
Avoid signing up /posting on fansites.

That graph is missing a line from Zero to Even Numbers, as Zero is divisible by two. And that fits with the consistent even, odd, even nature of numbers. :D

What the, negative integers are definitely whole numbers! Odd and prime isn't mutually exclusive either.

Yeah, that chart is all kinds of screwy!
I suppose "LazyMaths" was an appropriate place for it to come from. heh.

Well, I did just pick the first chart I could find on Google Images. I was looking for the Venn-Diagram-but-with-boxes version we used to have in school but couldn't find it. It's nice to know that the internet remains absolutely useless and contradictory when it comes to getting help with math.
