    Overview

The Final Round, known in Japan as Hard Puncher: Chimamire no Eikō (loosely translated to "Hard Puncher: Blood-soaked Glory", is a belt-scrolling boxing game developed and released by Konami for arcades in 1988.

It is one of the few boxing games of the time to be set in a "belt-view" perspective (which was more popular in professional wrestling games of the time), allowing players to walk around the ring. It also features a unique "training" mechanic, where players choose their initial stats (split between speed, power, and stamina) and boost each of them throughout the game.

    Gameplay

The game uses an eight-way joystick and three buttons (Face Punch, Body Punch, and Guard).

Different joystick and button combinations sometimes allow powerful special attacks known as "Super Punch".
