I'm not rich, I trade to buy games, the reviews for Heavy Rain are good but they say it has major issues. I'm willing to trade Batman Arkham Assylum, Beatles Rock Band, Afro Samuri, and The Sabotuer. Is it worth it?

Not sure, I'm willing to guess Heavy Rain isn't going to be that long so if value for money is all your looking for I would say probably not.  But if you really want to experience Heavy Rain's unique gameplay and story and you're completely done with those games, then maybe.

Stop trading in games, you'll regret it later.

If you are not going to play those game again then go ahead.

Major problem with trading for HR would be that even people who love it admit it will have limited replay value.  Once you get through the plot once I don't see much reason to do it again, save for a few branching plot lines.  If you can rent games this one seems ideal.

If you're not rich, then why do you trade to buy games? You're basically paying 240 bucks for an 8-hour game.

If you're done with them, I think absolutely so. Make sure you eBay them though, you'll get a fairer price.

lol i wouldnt say "basically" dude. thats an interesting way of looking at though, only if you consider playing the other games isn't worth their own price tags.

If you don't have much money, just wait 4-5 months for the game to come down in price. Or just rent it, and buy it later on when the game is like $25

Exactly. If I buy a game for £40, spend 20 hours with it and then sell it for £20, I'd consider the £20 difference a good return on my 20 hours of entertainment.

Like I said, go to eBay. You'll get a good chunk of cash for Arkham Asylum I'd imagine, as it's still a game people actively want to play. It's fetching roughly £20 on eBay, which seems fair if you bought it new for £35 or so.

Heavy Rain is like a 10 hour game. It's also really not all that replayable. Just go rent it. If you don't have access to rent stuff, then wait a few months to get it. It'll take you like 3 days to complete the game.

See, I meant in the case of actual 'trades', referring to Gamestop. Reselling on something like Ebay is totally different. I've just seen a lot of people thinking that they somehow save money by trading in instead of buying new or reselling games themselves.

ill make my voice heard on this matter THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH TRADING all the trolls that bash on trading probably dont have children or a budget they have to maintain so in turn trading saves money im trading 2 games to gamestop and i dont even have to put a dime towards HR and on top of that im still getting money back after that trade and im puttng it to FFXIII so in my eyes i just saved myself around 70 bucks.

Except the part where you paid money for the games in the first place, and would have to rebuy them to play them again. You cut your return by at least half every time you trade to gamestop. At least use Goozex, or something.

Dude, you'll finish Heavy Rain in like one or two sittings and then be like "OK. I traded all my games in for this?"

Afro Samuri, and The Sabotuer, Sure trade them in, Batman if you are finished, and you don't think you'll go back to the challenges, (I rented it) But I think that you'd go back to Rock Band wont you?

This would be my response too. The other games you mentioned seem more worthy of a trade in. They just don't seem to be shelf material, if you know what I mean.
