Jason? Jason? Jason?
Seriously though, I'm actually looking forward to checking out Heavy Rain with Move controls.
Heavy Rain
Game » consists of 12 releases. Released Jan 25, 2010
An interactive thriller from the studio behind Indigo Prophecy, sporting a dark storyline involving the investigation of a mysterious serial killer.
Cage 'Doubts' Heavy Rain DLC 'Will Ever Be Produced'
I'd rather have a new game. You can't really do much more with it anyway. The case is solved. Are you just going to add a series of grizzly events to the lives of the same group of people? The story is farfetched enough as it is without having DLC that suggests a bunch of random people already had previous serial killer experience.
Wave hands over your head to Jason....
With out tactile feedback motion control will not improve heavy rain, it'll just be waving your arms around quick time events, instead of button press quick time events, but not "oh shit that dude has me pinned to a table and now I have to heave his carcass off me try and grab the knife and stab the prik" because there is no dude, there is no table, and motion controls suck balls.
" And my purchase of Heavy Rain continues to be one of my biggest regrets. The game was great, but come on, 60$ for what kept me busy for basically half the weekend is kinda retarded. Really shoulda rented. "You were expecting Heavy Rain to be 40 hours long or have riveting multiplayer? Sheesh, some people...
" @XII_Sniper said:No, but another couple hours couldn't have hurt, and yeah, DLC is generally a factor too, I was under the impression I'd be able to get more content later. Oh well." So no DLC, instead ridiculous waggle is being added to a game that Cage himself said he'd rather gamers only played once. So in other words he is hoping move controls will bring in a whole new audience? He is dreaming if he thinks that will happen. Or, as is more likely, he has now changed his mind and would prefer people played the game again- despite knowing what most of the outcomes are now. The man is an idiot.
" I haven't played Heavy Rain yet. Since it is a hipster game. But I was hoping to pick it up from the bargain bin sometime. Sucks to hear this. But the game was pretty much a failure anyway. Not many fans to disappoint or in this case, to please. "This is just... I...
Here.
That's just one example. Heavy Rain sold very well. What exactly is a hipster game? One enjoyed by a scarce few holding themselves as the elite? Hmm, but we know that can't be true: it sold well.
Some fucking people, dude...
Heavy Rain is a brilliant game. The hate in this forum saddens me, haha. Even still, I understand it. It's definitely not for everyone.
But yeah, the news that there might not be any DLC sucks... Considering the taxidermist was supposedly an experiment and the new few DLC packs would be proper expansions... It sucks, really.
This sucks I definitely would play DLC for this game. I think DLC always gets a bad rap because its too short and people tend to compare it to the full game as a whole rather then view it as the encore performance it usually is. After playing through any game that I like I'd probably be interested in playing a bit more, having somewhat mastered its gameplay, rather then start learning something new, although thats also fun.
