It's possible that The Taxidermist will earn the distinction of being the first and last piece of Heavy Rain downloadable content. Speaking with Game Informer at E3 2010 in Los Angeles, Quantic Dream's Guillame de Fondaumiere said that the second piece of Heavy Rain DLC has been put on hold.
Shake your fists at Move. Explaining, Fandaumiere said that Sony encouraged the team to work on the upcoming Move integration as opposed to the next DLC. As a result of the release timing, Fondaumiere believes Quantic will move on to its next project rather than bring people the other announced episode.

Second Heavy Rain DLC On Hold

Taxidermist took the thing in an almost survival horror-esque direction.
I think I'm happy for them to move on to their next project though. Horizon is the rumoured title.
Heavy Rain attempted to add a specifically crafted style of immersion by making us hit buttons and move analogue sticks in specific ways. Unless they completely recreated the game mechanics, trying to simply translate this onto the Move would be gimmicky.
Moving onto their next project is probably the wise thing to do, if not simply just making new DLC content without Move (Sony, will you allow them?)
Yeah, they've been shady on the DLC plans in the past. Were they even making anything, seriously? I doubt. 'The Taxidermist' was already made as a presentation. Beyond that, though, it seems like they weren't planning on anything and are now just using this as the excuse. And, of course, this is a shitty excuse, as motion controls are completely lame.
This kid's gonna die...and Quantic Dream is just going around in CIRCLES!!

Let me see if I understand the series of events:
- Sony "encouraged" Quantic Dream to integrate Move into their DLC.
- The Move isn't being released anytime soon.
- QD decides to just scrap the whole thing and move on to their next project.
Does anyone else see a breakdown in logic? Would it make more sense to, I don't know, just create the DLC without the Move support and THEN move onto your next project?

"I'd rather have them integrate move and proceed to their next project that spend time on more dlc and not integrate move. The best part about Heavy Rain is easily the main game and I would love to play through it again with move. "
Same here, I really liked the game and that was the best part so while I probably would have paid for a second DLC at the same time I'll gladly take free Move support and try it again especially since the controlls seem right on given the control system. There's already a commercial/trailer showing off how it'll work and it looks like it could work. And then let them get onto their next game since I can't wait to see what they do next with the PS3 using all they learned from Heavy Rain and equally importantly what story they are going to tell next.
Kinda sucks that there may be no more dlc; however, moving on to the next project may be for the best. The games they make lend themselves to the Move and it really only makes sense to "move" (pun definitely intended) on and see whats next.
