Is it realy a coincidence that the city in the trailer resembles the city in assassins creed, it uses the same colour pallete, structures look similar.  Also, there was the rumour that Jade Raymond would be working on it.  It's not exactly concrete but my guess.

I'm pretty sure this game doesn't look even close to anything Assassin's Creed related.

Jade Raymond is the main producer on the project (supposedly), even though the wiki page here discredits that (with no sources). I'm pretty damn sure it's not Assassin's Creed 2. And if it is, then call me Jimbo and slap me silly with a pig skull.

Because it was described as a survival-horror game.

Because of that...they have mentioned the basic premise of the game and none of it sounds like an AC2.

After the crap they pulled with AC...I'm pretty sure that they could say it's a coat simulator and it could be AC2.  LOL
I honestly do think and know that it's an original IP.

Well honestly...I just hope it stays in Chicago and doesn't end up taking place somewhere else.

It looks a hell of a lot more like "Disaster Report" on the PS2, except in first-person, and less of the traditional survival horror.
I don't think we'll be seeing any zombies or ghouls, or any other type of monsters.  It seems to be a lot more realistic than that, and I think it works in the game's favor.

Let's just hope they don't get carried away with the realism and give us another "Malaria" mechanic.  I mean, honestly... whoever thought that up for Far Cry 2 almost ruined a good game.

I say "almost" because I still enjoyed Far Cry 2, it's just that having to take a Malaria pill once every hour can get kind of frustrating.

Oh, no no... Jade Raymond isn't the producer on the project, it's Alexis Goddard

Pretty sure the guy in the trailer in the suit on his phone isn't called Desmond either which is the name of the guy in Assassin's Creed who is in the memory machine thing. And the ending of Creed pretty much left us thinking the next game would follow on Desmond's story.
