No- in all seriousness you seem like the kind of person who might be devastated by family stuff (since you actually mention family from time to time, you must have an attachment of some sort to them) going bad, so our thoughts and such are with you.  I've spent time on this site through a divorce, a couple childbirths, a re-marriage and becoming a working stiff, and I don't use this site to talk about that, I use it to escape from my actual life for a moment.  You guys provide that (escapism) and I'm more or less for the next decade or so grateful.  So I'm sure right now real life is a shit show, but we'll be here when you need to escape back to the VERY REAL AND SERIOUS video game world again.

Why does there have to be one person in every one of these threads who feels the need to pretend that empathy is beneath them?

It's nigh impossible to not form some sort of attachment to somebody you've spent thousands of hours listening to/watching. It's only creepy when you expect reciprocation, or you mistake it for anything other than a side effect of long-term exposure. And honestly, I find it stranger to avoid well-wishing and condemning others for doing it. If you expect every communication to be a means to physical or intellectual betterment as opposed to custom or nicety, you maaay not be quite ready to be among other people. It's also greatly ironic to have such expectations when you're on a website dedicated to a hobby that is, in the greater scheme of things, a trifle.

Is it sad that the first thing I did while looking through this thread was to see if nail1080 had started trolling it yet and acting like an asshole? Sure enough, there he is...doing what nail1080 does...being a dick.

Anyways, I'm not going to say that the general demeanor that some of this thread holds is a little.....down? I mean, for all we know, the "family emergency" is that his parents' car broke down in Nevada and he's having to drive out to pick them up or something. Just because the words "family emergency" are used, that does not automatically mean "someone's dying".

No matter what the case, however...
