Overview
In early 2011, Telltale Games announced that they had licensed the rights to the King's Quest franchise and were working on a reboot of the adventure game series. Little was revealed about the game and what stage of development it had reached.
In April 2013, Telltale confirmed that they would not be producing the game and had returned the rights to Activision. According to Steve Allison, Telltale's Senior VP of Publishing, the company chose to devote its resources to The Walking Dead and Fables projects instead. Telltale had investigated partnering with a third party developer to work on the game in 2012, but ultimately decided against it.
