I think I remember seeing a shotgun in one of the trailers. Also, there is a pre-order bonus that includes an SMG. Other then that, no idea.

Yep, there are a range of weapons. I will wager that, as with most, if not all sandbox games, there are a few different varieties of pistol, melée, machine gun, etc.

You'll probably mainly cruise around with a pistol. In a trailer he pulls out a shotgun from the boot of his car, though, so he'll probably have an arsenal of weapons to grab from the precinct. Probably very case to case basis though.

Nope just one pistol for the whole game, but you can use it to pistol whip people so its like having two weapons.

But won't the lack of weapon variety bore the living hell out of everyone. I say pistol when you're running around in the open world and bigger weapons for special missions "

DUDES it's a 1911! You don't NEED anything else. I use the damn thing almost exclusivly, even in games where it's not even very good.

According to Rockstar, when you sign into the social club you get a suit that "will improve your accuracy when using a shotgun or machine gun."

I'm not going to play this unless my cop carries a whole selection of weapons, just like LA cops did in the 1950s. I can't wait to blow up fools with a rocket launcher in order to satisfy my ADHD bloodlust.

Well at least for sure a machine gun and shotgun since Rockstar has a suit they're putting out via the Social Club that was said to specifically increase your accuracy with shotguns and machine guns.

Dude, if ur expecting a vast array of guns then i suggest u dont get the game, is a detective mystery murder, the guns are a tiny aspect of the game, it isnt really a shooter
