I was a big fan of the first two Lego games, but after that I started to get tired of them. There were just the same thing over again with little improvement to graphics and gameplay.

That being said, Lego Star Wars 3 looks awesome! The visual seem great and the gameplay looks way better. I'm starting to consider picking this one up when it comes out.

@Steveolio: They sucked ass, thus why I established the principle to have nothing to do with them.

@Akrid: That's a shame, because the Clone Wars TV series has been the best thing to come from Star Wars since Episode VI and has gone some ways to correcting a lot of the mistakes that were made with the prequels.  I think it's disappointing how many people simply write it off as a terrible kids show.

@WinterSnowblind: I'm not above kid's shows at all, But Lucas tried to establish a mythology in the prequels with ridiculous parallels to real life, a connection that the originals took no part of. I think that's his biggest, broadest slip up. Out of many. I can't get excited about something that lives in the same mythos that retroactively mangled some really good movies.

But my initial statement (3 months ago.. Why are we talking about this?) is treacherous in that I'm not actually that hardcore of a Star Wars fan, and I actually have a strict one-more-affects-nothing mentality. My policy is not born out of boycotting principle, but out of the expectation that I won't enjoy anything that Star Wars has turned into.

I've heard plenty of reccomendations about this show though, so I guess I'll give it a shot!

I haven't played any of the Lego games, apart from a little bit of Lego Indiana Jones. I might pick up them all up at some point, they look pretty rad.
