Found it while browsing NeoGAF. Is it only me that it seems bit bland and the gameplay somehow lacks music ?
As with every Suda51's games, I am interested but cautious.
Game » consists of 8 releases. Released Jun 12, 2012
Zombies just aren't interesting enough for a hack n slash, hopefully we get some warped suda enemies to make up for how monotonous the zombies will get
Yup, this confirms that I do not like Suda51 very much. All his games remind me of Simple Series games from the ps1/ps2 years but without the redeeming value of being 20 bucks.

It looks very unfinished and it wasn't from PAX, someone got their hands on an early build perhaps?
Yeah, this is what I'm thinking. It looks like quite a few things are missing. Like, why would there be no music anywhere at all in that video? Even the shittiest of shit-ass-shit games have music.
I'm calling it that this video was made waaaaaaaay before PAX. Still my most anticipated goty though so June cannot get here fast enough.
While that build may not be with the times concerning the development, I still think it's largely representative of how the gameplay will function. Which is looking to be super clunky and unrefined, but mixed in with a lot of creative flair. It also at least looks like it'll be pretty funny throughout (did the girl riding the bus shout out ''Oh fuckballs''?). Yup, this is as Suda as a Suda game could get.
What's up with these clunky, unpolished, noticeably low-budget Japanese action games? Damn, spend more money on the game itself, not a huge ad campaign with a busty chick.
@Daveyo520: I'm not sure. In terms of combat I'd say Bayonetta or Batman is 10 because both are quick, responsive, and deep. No More Heroes is a 6, NMH lacks depth but I still enjoyed it, but it wasn't why i played that game. God of War would be a 7, Madworld would be a 5.
I don't know if that helps, but I feel like if I ever play this game it will be for the same reasons I bought No More Heroes.
I have to say that I LOVE the pink hearts, rainbows, and other "girly" graphics as you slaughter zombies. That's really really fantastic.
The game play does look a little monotonous, but I'll wait until I actually play the game to make that call.
Batman's combat is a 10? You mash a button and press Y when someone's head flashes. There's not much depth.@Daveyo520: I'm not sure. yeah i've never understood why people say things like "Batman AA has the best melee combat system of the generation". you freaking mash a button and press Y when you see a flashy thing.

You could mash buttons but you will do a lot better if you don't.
How? There's just one attack button, right? I mean, i got nothing against button mashers. I fucking love God Of War, No More Heroes and MadWorld but JESUS, all you do is press a button and then go "Ops, i need to counter that guy." then Batman goes and do a Batman thing. It's beatiful yes, but, what's the depth in Arkham Asylum/City? That's a serious question.@phrali said:

@duggshammer Suda makes the besy with what his is given. Also it gives his games charm.
I personally disagree. I think the generally poor gameplay in Suda's games take away from their charm - which would otherwise be irresistible.
Man I wish Suda would get hooked up with a better development team so that I too could revel in their absurdity.
Woo, i never really used many gadgets in battles. Did a lot of group takedowns, though... Hm, i guess i should finish Arkham City.@MikeGosot said:
what's the depth in Arkham Asylum/City? That's a serious question. The depth in Arkham's combat comes from mixing in the gadgets to build up your multiplier, then using the cc moves to do group takedowns/group finishers.
Standing around having a ten minute fist-fight with a pack of goons is a valid play-style too though.
Can't wait to get my hands on this. Not for $60 mind you, but I can't resist the voice of Tara Strong.
I see. Thank you for your information, my good sir!@MikeGosot: Not at once no. The demo they showed was in a high school and it was still tutorial stuff. I say like 5 at a time in hallways and a few classrooms. I am guessing it was early in the game and they would dump more enemies on you later.
enjoy your waste of money then, my good sir.Whatever guys, I'm buying it for the hipster cred. Really though, Suda's games are all about the crazy. Bad gameplay is all the more post-modern.
