Lollipop Chainsaw
Game » consists of 8 releases. Released Jun 12, 2012
This deliberately ridiculous third-person action game stars Juliet Starling, a zombie-slaying cheerleader who's almost as handy with a chainsaw as she is with a pair of pom-poms.
Lollipop Chainsaw Coming to America [UPDATED]
I've seen only four screenshots since this was announced and EVERY SINGLE ONE includes an upskirt. Now I see that since she has her eighteenth birthday at the start of the game, she is as barely legal as humanly possible!
God bless you, Suda51! You are doing the Lord's work.
This assumption that Suda 51s games do well in Japan and poorly here is totally false. Looking at the sales data Suda 51's games have always sold better here. No More Heroes sold 290,915 in North America, 166,929 in Europe and 38,943 in Japan. So its not like Yakuza, Dragon Quest or Monster Hunter where his games manage to sell more in their home country than in the other territories combined, its quite the opposite, he's dependant on his quirky style hitting a "Oh that's so Japanese" note over here, Japan doesn't really seem to care for his antics.
I'm never not interested in a new Grasshopper Manufacture joint.
Glad a publisher decided to pick this one up, WB has been putting out some good games, so hopefully this continues their streak. I would have to agree with the article that I think James Gunn's involvement will be positive; I liked Slither and Super a lot, and his style seems to fit what the game is going for.
I will be picking this up at some point for sure. Though Still need to get Shadows of the Damned >_>;;;
The game has just been announced and they already picked up the publishing rights? Especially in light of the horrible sales performance of Shadows of the Damned, that's kinda crazy.
Still have my copy of Shadows of the damned preordered waiting for a price drop. Beat it on a rental and still want to buy it but I just dont have the money for another full price game.
she looks exactly like the chick in catherine. apparently, suda threw in a bunch of scraps of paper with words on them like gun, chainsaw, zombie, vampire, cheerleader, in a big hat and ended up with that for an idea. whatever happened to creativity? i was over the whole emotional, teenage, angry/angsty anime thing after seeing akira in 1990. yawn.
If I was in the movie business, I'd be on the phone trying to secure the film rights to this game right now. Regardless of the game's eventual popularity, the idea is perfect for a Hollywood mid-budget action flick. It's been a good long time since Buffy was in theaters, so I think the public is ready for more cheerleaders killing hordes of the undead.
TRULY! I love it.I've seen only four screenshots since this was announced and in EVERY SINGLE ONE includes an upskirt. Now I see that since she has her eighteenth birthday at the start of the game, she is as barely legal as humanly possible!
God bless you, Suda51! You are doing the Lord's work.
