Overview
These famous humanoid
Silent Hill 2 creatures appear to be trapped in
straight-jackets made from their own flesh. They attack by spewing a spray of acidic mist from an opening in their chest. They are slow while standing upright and walking, but if knocked down they remain in a lying position and move very quickly along the ground. The Lying Figure symbolizes a
hospital and/or mental patient, lost deep it its own agony, but are also a manifestation of
James Sunderland's internal suffering-- hence the self imprisonment. They also hint into James' sexual frustration.

The creature has been nicknamed
Body Bag, Straight-Jacket,
No Arm-ies,
Condom Man, and
Patient Demon prior to the release of
The Book of Lost Memories which confirmed the official name.
