Seems like it was first come first service basis, so you can't really switch teams. That's what I'm assuming, though. The Patriots (who I am right now), managed to be one of the last few teams, though. Which I thought was cool. Small update: Dunno if I'm picking up my copy from the UPS Store today or tomorrow, but I will be joined by the end of Monday. Whenever UPS would ship my game out, I suppose.

Where are we at in the free agent pool? I'm in desperate need of a kicker!

What do you guys think about dropping the difficulty level? I think games should be decided by the players not by EAs shitty balancing. A CPU controlled team in this years game is so cheap. I think if we leave the setting at All-Pro we will have many games decided by the CPU rather than player skill.

I'm inclined to say no switching teams, just rebuild through free agency.

Something that never crossed my mind: are there drafts at the end of the season(s)? Just wondering when it comes to trading, and the possibility of having draft picks involved.

Well since the raiders are right after the bengals and they arent picking iam going to go ahead and sign Jon Runyan.

I know free agency being "open" tomorrow kind of sucks but I think people just took to long to sign free agents when we went by the list.  I want everyone to have a chance to sign players before the first game.  As far as the better teams go like the Steelers, the rosters are already pretty stacked and I don't know how much free agency would help your starting units.  This isn't ideal and it kind of sucks that EA couldn't get a salary cap system in place.
 
The draft is at the end of the year and it goes by the worst team from the year that was just played(I'm pretty sure).  I don't know how scouting works.

@ll_chilidogs:  it will vary, if everyone is done playing their games then I'll advance, if it takes a week and change I'll advance at that time.  I'm just playing it by ear.

Just wondering how trades would work out. I assume draft picks can be traded. I'm guessing it would depend on making an offer, and the opposite party would get some kind of message saying they received a offer, and they could either accept, deny, or manipulate (err, in this case, change) the offer to more of their liking. Then it would go back to the original party who made the request, and the same things would apply?

I don't know if you can trade draft picks, I really hope you can but that sounds about right for the process.  I know that I don't have to do anything to approve or deny any trades.

If you can't officially trade draft picks you can always have the other team draft the player you want and then make the trade.  Although, everyone involved would have to follow the honor system for it to work.

I just signed some free agents. Is that okay now?

Finished my game, and beat the CPU Bills 51-29. Nothing too special (after all it is the CPU team), but I had been down 14-3 at halftime. After that, I pretty much just went ballistic. I didn't want to lose to the CPU, and when I returned an INT for a TD to make it 14-11 (plus the 2 pt conversion), I felt pretty darn good after that. I had thrown 4 INTs with Brady (wasn't in the rhythm just yet), and then I just went nuts and threw 5 TDs to make I didn't make Brady look that bad. Exciting game up until the 4th QTR.
 
I have a feeling this franchise is going to be incredibly fun. I had a lot of fun in that game (even if it was a CPU), even when I was losing by halftime.
 
Edit - There isn't a way to embed a boxscore if it was to show up on EA Sports or something, right? That'd be pretty cool to compare with everyone when games start rolling in.

Just want to drop a good game message to Clutch real quick. Those linebacker interceptions can be brutal. I'm curious if Garrard will be applying to McDonalds or Burger King...
Nah, I'm just playing. That game was still a lot closer than I would have liked. Way to hang in there.
 
Note to commish:
We started our game three times. First time we both froze up in the loading screen before even seeing the field.
Second time it disconnected when the game was tied 7-7. I was given the option to continue versus the CPU but that would have been no fun at all.
Third time was the charm.
