Story
Mahler first appears in Fighting Vipers as an unofficial participant in the Nutcracker tournament. He is a pro-wrestler with a grudge against the mayor of Armstone city, B.M, who he is rumoured to be related to. He returns in the 2nd game to oppose B.M and his persecution of the other Vipers.
Design and Characteristics
In the first game Mahler is essentially just a smaller version of the game's final boss B.M. They both wear a snake-themed spandex outfit with a cobra-like hood and mask, that makes them look quite similar to the Serpentor character from the G.I.Joe action figure and cartoon line.
Mahler and B.M also have near identical movesets that borrow heavily from the game's other characters. These mostly consist of quick combination attacks with some other stand out moves like a power punch, neck-snapping throw and a leaping stomp that breaks low armour. Noticeably, Mahler(but not B.M) lacks the Counter moves most characters have.
Mahler returned in Fighters Megamix with a new design that helped distinguish him from being. Now sporting a small mask, no hood and a justaucorps coat, he somewhat resembled a pirate.
When he returned in Fighting Vipers 2, he once again wore a snake-themed outfit, but one less similar to B.M's.
