She has always been very popular with her fellow students at the all-girls school she attends, being good at sports and removing the stereotype. Yet it doesn't make it easier on her, as underneath her boyish looks Makato is a very sweet and sensitive girl and wishes to become more feminine. Because of this, she ran away from home to become an idol to find her feminine self, and to show others that she has a girly side as well.
