Daily updates from Mass Effect 2's "Cerberus Daily News" ticker will cease on Jan. 24 as the service makes a transition into what appears to be a primer role for new Mass Effect content coming in 2011. A total of three weeks of updates are planned for 2011, according to a recent CDN posting. One week of content will precede one more ME2 DLC release, while two weeks will precede the release of Mass Effect 3.

The writers behind CDN have been filing in-character reports for the Mass Effect intergalactic news organization on a daily basis since late January 2010. These one-to-two paragraph updates tend to be more entertaining than fiction-building, but there have been a few informative posts over the past year that flesh out the universe of ME2 and beyond. If you're interested in pouring over all of them in light of this news, most appear to be available over at the unofficial Mass Effect wiki page.

I love the fact that there's gonna be a new DLC pack coming but I think it sucks that there not gonna post anymore Cerberus news, I loved reading that stuff everytime I logged in

ME2 was the first game to really sell me on post-release DLC so I'm really happy to hear that they keep coming with it.

It's pretty awesome that a full year after release, new ME2 DLC is coming, especially if it is the rumored "bridge" content.

So what will replace the updates? Are they going to cycle the old updates for the PS3 crowd? Because if you're going to get this on the PS3 you haven't heard anything about this stuff.

Having just recently finished ME2 for the third time, I will happily play it yet again if they release more meaningful DLC.

Nizice! I'm putting z's in things! How 1998.... Just just beat the shadow broker and finished the third novel. Bring on the next DLC and let's play Mass Effect 3. No rush Bioware, take your time and knock it out of the park.

I hope the new DLC is not arena battles like they put out for ME1 before ME2 came out. Granted I never played that ME1 DLC but the concept just put me off and I've played that concept in too many Bioware games.

Im hoping for DLC that blends the content from the 3 Premium DLC like the party scene from kasumi, the combat heavy action sequences from LOTSB and vehicle sections that have a more exploratory feel.

What's up with that visor in the pic?  I had a similar visor but it was always vertical and covered only one eye.  My Shep was male though, is that why it's different?

All i need to know is how much space do i need to clear on my 360's harddrive; please take my money for more ME2 content Bioware!

They should have incorporated them into the loading screens, then I would have probably saw them and read them more.

I can only hope that's it's a long expansion type DLC.

The Mass Effect universe is just too big for just three episodes, make ME4, 5 and 6.
