    I say this as a diehard fan of Mega Man Legends, but perhaps this is for the best. Do we really want Mega Man going the same route of a slow painful death that the Sonic franchise has been enduring for the past decade?

    Your wrong. Megaman Legends was the only original and high quaility game coming out with the Megaman brand on it. Everything else was just a re-hash. That's why it's branding hurt it in the long run because people couldn't see it for what it was, a fun and charming action-adventure game. Instead, people like you, were disappointed it didn't have trivial things like a boss select or Dr. Wily or Zero.

    @darfox8: Screwattack  and all the other reviews sums up 99% of everything  I was going to say about mega man legends series.  My case rest. I don't even have to do anything the games suckage speaks for it's self.

    You know your game sucks when the best thing in the game is kicking a can with ass controls that make tomb raider horrible tank controls look like a  graceful swan ballerina because the dungeons are boring as fuck with the same god damn textures and geometry pasted randomly together to form a crap under ground area with the fucking same god damn bad guys over and over again and you fight them with a fucking pea shooter gun or some gun made from parts you found in the trash.
     
    Oh and the mega man makes his weapons from the garbage and ducks tapes them onto his body..... Worst  and most pathetic version of mega man ever.   Final fight streetwise is like gold compared to mega man legends and it is dead as a doornail and will never comeback like it should be. 
     
    And capcom thought of it fails to meet criteria to go into full production is another word for it sucked as much as the ps1 game and we don't want to ship it and nobody owns a 3ds since all it has is ports of crap n64 games and I am happy capcom is looking at making quilty games they killed Mega man universe since it was also crap and a horrible idea. 
     
    Thanks capcom Mega man already has enough crap games he don't need another one on his record before you know it he will end up like sonic and his crap 3d games.

    @Cubical: Welp... I disagree. I think the controls are limited(it's basically a 3rd Person Shooter without a Right Analog stick) but they function well enough to play through the combat scenarios the game deploys. And the story and world is 100 times better than any other Megaman game and better than alot of games that come out now-a-days. It's fine if you didn't enjoy it as much as me but trying to position it, objectively, as an abortion makes you sound ignorant or fanboyish. The problems it had are the type that could be fix with iteration or sequels.

    I don't own a 3DS, but that would have been a reason to get one if it came out. Capcom has let me down when it comes to Mega Man. I would have love a Maverick Hunter X2 or Powered Up 2.

    I'm done with Capcom. The way they dangled this stick in front of the fans (myself included) who've been wanting this game for over TEN YEARS and then take it away overnight is just ridiculous.  What makes it worse, they promised that the Prototype Version would be the definitive thing to see if it was "profitable" enough to green lit the project.
     
    I guess these guys would just rather go on with their Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, Street Fighter milking and western-developed shooters like Operation Raccoon City. I've never been more disappointed with Capcom - and that's coming from a huge Devil May Cry fan also.

    Capcom makes me sad. This is why we can't have mice things. Because Capcom cancels them. And then blames us.
