    Overview

Minasan no Okage-samadesu! - Dai Sugoroku Taikai (loosely translated to Thanks to Everyone! - The Large Sugoroku Tournament) is a comedic riichi mahjong (two-player variant) game developed and released by Monolith for arcades (using Neo-Geo MVS hardware) in Japan on January 25, 1991. It was later released for the Neo Geo AES in Japan on July 1, 1991.

The first game developed by Monolith (later known for their SNES ports of some other Neo Geo games from SNK), Minasan no Okage-samadesu is a licensed mahjong game based on the Japanese variety show Tunnels no Minasan no Okagedesu, featuring the comedy duo Tunnels (Noritake Kinashi and Takaaki Ishibashi).

While the main game plays like traditional one-on-one mahjong (against either Kinashi's schoolgirl character Nori-chan or Takaaki's flamboyant character Kamao), the game uses an e-sugoroku style board game progression system, where players must reach the goal with a certain amount of points to receive a comedic scene with a pretty lady. However, the board is littered with squares that ends the player's credit (even if they won in mahjong). It also includes a power-up system, where players can purchase goofy power-ups to use in matches.

Like other mahjong games released for Neo Geo hardware, it's not an erotic "strip mahjong" game (popular in that era), can only be played in single-player, includes memory card support for saving progress, and supports both mahjong control panels and standard joystick-and-button setups. Later that year, Monolith would make another arcade mahjong game with the Neo Geo hardware, titled Bakatono-sama Mahjong Manyuuki.
