Overview

Minasan no Okagesamadesu! - Daisugorokutaikai (loosely translated to Thanks to Everyone! - Big Amazing Tournament) is a comedic riichi mahjong (two-player variant) game developed and released by Monolith for arcades (running Neo-Geo MVS hardware) in 1990 exclusively in Japan. It was later released for the Neo Geo AES (also exclusively in Japan) on July 1, 1991.

The first game developed by Monolith (later known for their Super Nintendo Entertainment System ports of some SNK Neo Geo games and a Sailor Moon fighting game for the Super Famicom), Daisugorokutaikai is a licensed mahjong game based on a Japanese variety show (Tunnels no Minasan no Okagedesu) and has a board game progression system. Monolith would later develop another licensed arcade mahjong game, Bakatonosama Mahjan Manyuuki.

Like other mahjong games released for Neo Geo hardware, it's not an erotic "strip mahjong" game (popular in that era), can only be played in single-player, includes memory card support for saving progress, and can optionally be played with the standard joystick and button layout.
