Overview
Bakatono-sama Mahjong Manyuuki (loosely translated to Foolish Feudal Lord's Mahjong Journey) is a comedic historical-fantasy riichi mahjong (two-player variant) eroge developed and released by Monolith for arcades (running Neo-Geo MVS hardware) and the Neo Geo AES (both exclusively in Japan) on December 20, 1991.
The second (and last) arcade game released by Monolith (after Minasan no Okage-samadesu!), Mahjong Manyuuki follows the titular Bakatono-sama as he travels around Feudal Japan playing mahjong. While the main protagonist resembles the "Bakatono-sama" from the Japanese variety show Shimura Ken no Bakatono-sama, the game is not an official adaptation (although it is sometimes misinterpreted as so).
The game is notable for being the only game with Neo Geo hardware (both MVS and AES) that feature explicit nudity, as defeating opponents show an erotic nude picture (usually of the woman the Bakatono-sama is playing against).
Like other Neo Geo mahjong games, it can only be played in single-player, includes memory card support for saving progress, and supports both mahjong control panels and standard joystick-and-button setups.
