So, I started playing recently, and built a nice mine. But then I decided to explore the world and lost my mine (along with my chest full of items).

I downloaded the mini-map mod, but that doesn't really help since I don't know where then mine is. I remember putting a sign up at the entrance though, so what I was wondering is if there's a way/mod to teleport to the sign, or show where it is on the mini-map.

Kill yourself, and you'll respawn. Assuming you built your mine near where you started, you shouldn't have too much trouble. Unless you're carrying a bunch of stuff you don't want to lose, in which case there is a compass you can craft that will point towards the spawn, but it needs silver and redstone so you're pretty much going to have to set up another little base to get to the ingrediants and forge them :S

You can set waypoints with the minimap mod so you never get lost.

Was it near your spawn? If so kill yourself. Course you will lose everything on your person. Other wise There are no mods I can think of.

I thought this would be the answer. Sucks cos I'd found a load of stuff after I'd lost the mine, so that's all gone. Seems like an oversight to make it so a maps really hard to get :S I found it though, so thanks XD

@CL60 I know, but I downloaded the minimap thing after I got lost, so I had nowhere to set the waypoint to unfortunately. Kinda sucks.

@DeeGee I'm still better than most at video games. And since I suck, that really worries me XD
