Yeah, there will most certainly be a MW3. In fact, I wouldn't be suprised if they made a Modern Warfare franchise of it's own.

there most likely be another modern warefar game but i don't think they meant to do that as a sequel.

There's probably going to be a MW3; simply because of how much money they can milk off of the IP. I can't really saw much about a MW4 though, since Infinity Ward might take a chance and change directions, like how they jumped from WWII to the modern era. It wasn't like COD2 sucked or anything, more like they've been there and done that. Not only that but the WWII scenario was abused to death.

MW3 was confirmed the second that the original game provided them with enough profit to actually install a legal money printer in their home offices.
