Excite Truck Devs "Nearly Finished" With Next Wii Project

Good news, i was one of those few people who actually liked Excite Truck, so hopefully we get more news on this project.
Personally, I couldn't care less about F-Zero. Could this be the Kid Icarus game everyone wants?
Or maybe a new IP?
"I actually really enjoyed Excite Truck."I was the same. Excite truck makes me feel guilty for neglecting my wii. I got excite truck before I got my 360, and I really enjoyed it. Since I've got my 360 I tend to completely overlook wii games that aren't getting super high ratings. It really goes against my philosophy about game ratings, but when I'm in the store there seems to be a magnet that draws me past the wii section to the 360 section.
I don't see the plus of keeping the hush hush and disgruntling your poor water boy if it's a new IP. You want to get a new IP out there and all in your face so hopefully it sticks in the mind of the public. F-Zero on the other hand, or something like it... That would be a big ace up Nintendos sleeve for the hardcore. Or at least, an ace up their sleeve compared to the nothing coming out this holiday.
The last two F-Zero's I've played, that be it the 64 and the GBA version didn't make me stay in love with the game. There's just something about the original that can still keep me coming back to try and get that extra hundreth of a second on race times that the newer ones didn't feel that important. Anyway if this does end up being a new F-Zero I'd get it regardless anyway. I've never paid attention to Excite Truck... is that like Excite Bike with trucks instead? Googly eye me for my naivitae on the Excite Truck series if you will.
Either a new F-Zero, or possibly another new IP.
I'm am very curious to see what this new game will be.
I think at this point the only thing Nintendo could do to flare my inerest is a proper two player Mario game. A follow up to F-Zero GX isn't really that appealing, since GX kind of sums up what I want from a "modern" F-Zero game. Should Nintendo be prepping a new F-Zero release, I think they need to take a long hard look at what kind of monkey wrench can be thrown into the mix to change the way the game is played; and I'm not talking about motion control. Every single F-Zero game has comprised the exact same formula and there comes a time when the status quo is no longer enough. Since this is Nintendo there is a 10:1 chance of no substantial changes happening, so I would rather just see Nintendo add some content to GX and reissue it on the Wii instead.

It's 'dem mode 7 graphix.
I'd be happy with a new Excite Truck or F-Zero game. I feel like I'm one of the only people who really liked Excite Truck.

Code red! Code red! Delivery man inbound!! Operation Lights Out is a go!! I repeat, operation Lights Out is a go!!
God I hope they did not get F-zero. Excitetruck sucked. Excitebike on NES was good and the only good game in that series.
Excitetruck was better than the uber crap "Excitebike 64", but that is not saying much somebody could spit in a game case and it would be better than most n64 crap.
They are going screw up f-zero, hell i did not even care for that gamecube one by sega much either, it was only a decent but at least it was standable this is going to put a nail in the f-zero coffin, I can tell already.
Amusement Vision made the worst f-zero game, f-zero gx is not that great anybody decent can make it now. But not the excitetruck people from what i have seen they have no clue what the hell they are doing even for a launch title.
Amusement Vision F-zero was not f-zero i am still not the hell sure what it was. Possible wipeout/extreme g crap game, the games handling was all wrong it was like they was stuck to the track and did nto feel natural at all. in 2d with mode 7 that will fly but not in 3d.
This is one of the few times the n64 game turned a hell of a lot out better most the time n64 games are total crap and none of them have matched the SNES game or even the gameboy advanced games.
Oh and the sega Amusement Vision fezero gx the games sound track kinda sucked what the hell was it tyring to do copy wipeout techno trance sound track? What happend to the death metal, and classic f-zero music? Don't try to copy wipeout, if i want that I will go and play a wipeout game.
This is the kinda crap that happens when nintendo sends there classic games series outside, the only one that I have seen do it right was retro stuidos with metroid.
