Despite the shop keeping aspect of the game being far more casual than a lot of players wanted, I enjoy the simplicity. That isn't to say it couldn't be improved, however. The developers as of patch 1.6 have taken a step in that direction by adding a popularity system that changed the prices for every item in the game. Over the weekend I became obsessed with the 'perfect' price. The maximum you could charge that would make customers happy and not affect the popularity of the item.
That lead me down the rabbit hole of cheatengine and someone who had pulled the previous prices from game memory (though they were hit and miss). Taking this data and working with the math a reddit user did to figure out the formula, I went through the game and tested every item in the game. Not wanting to put waste the dozens of hours of work by keeping it to myself, I posted a steam guide with the perfect price for every item in the game. I'm very worried they will change all the prices in the next patch and I will have to work them out all over again.
I wanted to know who else on GB is playing this game, and how you approach selling. Would knowing these prices be useful for you? Break the game for you? If you want to use it, here is the guide.
