Need For Speed might be a Hot Pursuit game this year. I've read some comments that suggested like an 'Armageddon Theme' because of the soot on the car and nasty weather. I mean that'd be cool, but at least a strange pitch.. Its no Dante's Inferno..

Anyway, EA Ghost Games from Goethenburg, Sweden is supposedly making the game.

I was sort really wanting a PGR 5 this year, so this will do just fine with me. I think I might get it.

I thought Hot Pursuit 2013 was teased in the COD Ghosts trailer. I was getting excited of a possible Razor Callahan on COD.

So EA studio in Gothenburg, is this DICE guys who spun off?

It's worth noting that DICE had a small hand in Hot Pursuit, doing some landscape and weather effects IIRC.

Maybe this will end up being like Most wanted 2005 in a good way.

Being fond of Swedish-developed games, and the fact Criterion is somehow involved in every Need for Speed production (supposedly), and me loving both 2010's Hot Pursuit and 2012's Most Wanted, I'm quite sure this new Need for Speed will do me fine too.

NFS:HP running on Frostbite 2 confirmed.

But seriously the NFS franchise could use a jolt. It was tough to see Shift get the axe. Mechanically and stylistically they were very unique driving games. Most Wanted (2012) was cool, very emblematic of Criterion/Burnout style driving and gameplay. I'm interested to see what 'EA Ghost' has to offer the series.

What is Criterion up to now? Being allowed to work on next gen Burnout?
