Overview
New Hexington is the main setting in the game Dead Pixels. Although the city is not particularly notable for anything, it is quite technologically sophisticated. It draws at least a portion of its power from a nuclear power plant within or just outside the city, has a major airport, and is home to a large chemical manufacturer.
History
In the July of 1983, a spill at the chemical plant caused a zombie outbreak that ravaged the city's population. In the weeks following, survivors armed themselves to the teeth and fought their way across various stretches of the city to the airport, where they hoped to find transport and salvation. While some of those survivors were able to get out, others did not. Then, later that same year, a group of criminals from H. Mason Maximum Security Correctional Facility flew into the airport, traversed the dangerous and zombie-laden streets to the power plant, and blew up the city on behalf of the national government in an effort to prevent the zombies from spreading in uncontrollable numbers out from the city and into the rest of the nation.
