It's literally 99% Ninja Gaiden... why? Why would they make a shittier version of Ninja Gaiden?! I didn't even like Ninja Gaiden to begin with! I hope it sells terribly or gets canned.

I feel like this should have came out long ago as Microsoft's response to Heavenly Sword. At least then, I would understand why this game existed. But right now, I have no fucking idea why this game exists.
It's kinda crazy how From Software really well.. Seemed to like Ninja Gaiden! Current setting with hyper crazy ninjas and all that, sure Ninja Gaiden is actually set in the somewhat future and all that, but still!
From Software can make good games, as they have proved in the past with Chromehounds and other games, but man, some of their games are like hit or miss.
I just wish Team Ninja would make another Ninja Gaiden before this NG-clones start flooding the market.
Looks decent enough. I just hope it's a little easier than Ninja Giaden, simply because it's extremely difficult to feel like a bad ass nija when you're dying every 2 minutes.
Honestly, doesnt look that bad, regardless of what some of you narrow minded people say.
I like the eye close-up that you guys described on the TGS podcasts. Works well with me.
My only complaint is that it looks very drab, and doesnt have much of a unique personality (leaving most people to cry out "Ninja Gaiden Clone!" you people bore me) But i do like the ambition of the QTE's as you would say.

I just played it, it's pretty cool. The action switches seamlessly between cut-scene and quick time event. They give you a hint when it switch, the gameplay is not bad, a bit repetitive. You are given four weapons with a strong attack and a regular attack. I'd rent it first to see if it is worth picking up.
Worst design for a ninja I've ever seen. What's with going back in time when you fail a QTE? The best QTE's have multiple paths if you fail one. At least the part where you fall down the side of a building and fight demons looked kind of cool.
Played the demo for this on my Japanese account, from what I played it was actually really fun and enjoyable
I wonder why they chose to use quick-time events with no alternative like most games? That is going to get annoying very quickly. Does anyone remember Diehard the arcade; if you missed the quick time, then you would have a penalty of being forced to fight. Here, it is a worst penalty, you are forced to "rewind" until you get it right. Blaahh....
I played the demo as well. Its not as deep as Ninja Gaiden but I dont think its suppose to be. I would call it Ninja Gaiden for the average skilled gamer. Its a fun game, not mind blowing but fun.
I love reading comments from people who havent played something. Comments like "Looks really boring" , "Looks horrid". First off the game doesnt come close to looking horrid. Ben 10 on Wii looks horrid, Ninja Blade doesnt. Also most games look really boring when you are watching a video that you werent hyped to see. You could put a Ninja Blade skin on God of War 2 and alot of people would say it looks stupid.
If you like action games that are close range combat based chances are you will like this. Yes the demo had too man QTE's but it also had plenty of pure combat.
From Software has been on of my favorite dev. teams since Otogi 1 and 2 on the original Xbox (Amazing games). Ninja Blade looks pretty good and seems to play fairly simple, I'm not too crazy about the game yet but I'll have some hope for it.
From Software should just start work on Otogi 3 for Next Gen, it would be EPIC!
I seethe problem...they keep you in one area a minute too long.....you should go from one awesome thing to another...the game's pace is off. And what the hell is with the "retry" option....they should plan for you failing and make animations based on how well you did...what the hell, this isn't Braid
Yeah I say it looks awesome except the interactive cutscenes need to give you more depth like if you screw up, don't make us retry, put us in a harder position to win. Also, I agree with the pace being a little off.
