I know I do.
Nintendo
Company »
Nintendo was founded in Kyoto, Japan in 1889 as a manufacturer of hanafuda playing cards. The company went through several small niche businesses before becoming a video game company.
So, who here likes Nintendo?
"If only they would care about people like us...instead all they focus on is the casual gamer.
"
That's not entirely true. We got Brawl and Mario Kart Wii not too long ago, it has been confirmed that new Mario, Zelda and Pikmin games are in development and Wario Land: Shake It! is being released next month. Plus, there's also a bunch of third-party games coming for the Wii.
E3 '08 really soured my love for the Big N. I was a strong devote of their consoles and games, but not I'm not so sure anymore. I don't even play my Wii all that much, and, truthfully, I don' t see any titles due this year for the Wii that I can say I'm anticipating. My love for Nintendo is in a state of limbo. (Sigh)...
I still like them, i dont like their focus on the "hardcore" though.
With that said, i sold my Wii yesterday. Got a nice piece of change for it too. I still have my DS so i think i'm good.
"I know I do."I love Nintendo but I am not a fanboy because I have all 3 systems. Read my blog "The Best of E3 08" I did PS3 and X360. Part 3 will be all Nintendo; coming soon.
I definitely prefer Nintendo when discussing the major companies within the industry, even in the wake of recent controversial decisions, as judged by the reactions of various individuals around the internet.
"I used to but, after their pathetic performance at E3 i don't anymore.people shouldn't judge this kind of stuff on E3, i mean don't get me wrong i couldn't care less who likes Nintendo, but they explained that E3 to them is just a place to show off casual games now. they are their to make the general press happy, not the gaming press, that's what they hold their other events for.
"
I do. I've been a Nintendo fan from the beginning of my gaming life. I've owned every major Nintendo system, and even almost every type of Gameboy (from the original to the Gameboy Micro) I pay more attention to what Nintendo does than what Sony or Microsoft do right now.
I'm not too fond of their focus on casual gaming now. But that's why I own a 360 in addition to the Wii (which, sadly, doesn't get much playtime nowadays). I still love and use my DS, though!
I love the NES, SNES, GB, GBC, GBA, and NDS. Aside from a few great games the N64, Gamecube, and Wii are all flaming pieces of shit.
Currently trying to repress the fact that I begged my Mom for a Virtual Boy for months. Ahh, to be young and stupid again.
Nintendo's hard to not like, with all the classics they've made.
I guess I like them,,, I'l know once they make a game for the hardcore again!
No, nintendo, nintendogs doesn't count
I don't hate them.
I've just came to the conclusion last year that they are the Disney World in the gaming industry. Disney World is a nice, safe place to visit and take the family, but I'm at a time in my life where I want Las Vegas. I still haven't bought a Wii and I'm not in a real twist to do so. Nintendo's tapped out if they think they pull on my warm hearted nostalgia strings and find anything but a cold, empty, pit of a shell of a gamer.
I don't think it's possible for hardcore gamers to not like Nintendo, or at least respect them.
Their contribution to the gaming industry is astounding, and still going today.
But yes, I really like Nintendo. =)
