Hey, has anyone noticed their steam copy of NMS suddenly started running like garbage? I personally never really had any issues with the game since day one but the other day I noticed an update for NMS but at the same time my PC decided to install Windows 10 updates and now the stutters like crazy where once it ran smooth. Is anyone else experiencing this, id like to pinpoint whats causing it.

How are other games? Windows 10 probably replaced your graphics drivers, see what version you have and uninstall/download the latest

What do you mean? Through Windows Update?

@mike: Before i used a tool to stop it, Windows 10 would "update" my nvidia driver to an older unstable version so that's the first thing I would think happened with issues and a win10 update.

I've found a lot of games stutter and run like crap if your nvidia power management settings are "optimal". Try going into Control Panel -> NVIDIA Control Panel -> Manage 3D Settings and set your power management mode to "Prefer maximum performance"

It seems like the driver will reduce clocks to the point where the application runs like shit, realise this and increase the clock, then reduce them again, then increase them again back and forth forever. It's stupid, was making Rocket League run like ass on a 1080. Hope it fixes it for you.

Edit: Also this gets reset to (sub)optimal every time you update your drivers so you need to check it each time.
