    Description

    Notanban is a hydrogen-helium gas giant with trace amounts of ammonia. Molecular nitrogen is present in the highest levels of the atmosphere, which gives the planet its violet tint.

    Atmospheric Lifeforms

    The upper levels of Notanban's atmosphere are inhabited by tiny ammonia-based lifeforms, comparable to plankton in Earth's oceans. These lifeforms stay afloat in the atmosphere by air pressure and wind.
