    Overview

Omen of Sorrow is a horror-fantasy 2.5D fighting game developed and digitally published by AOne Games for the PlayStation 4 on November 6, 2018, with a retail release by Soedesco. It was later released for the PC (via the Epic Games Store) on June 20, 2019.

Developed by Chilean studio AOne Games, Omen of Sorrow features a gothic horror setting with a roster of combatants based on literary horror characters (such as the "Frankenstein's Monster" Adam and the werewolf Caleb).

Along with standard super gauge (known as the "Decimation Gauge"), the game features a unique gauge, known as "Fortune & Fate", which serves as a tug-of-war system between playing offensively (Fortune, shown in blue) and defensively (Fate, shown in purple), with special benefits for higher Fortune (such as access to special maneuvers) and weaknesses for higher Fate (with the possibility of receiving a severe "Doomed" de-buff).

The game later received an updated release by EastAsiaSoft for the Xbox One on September 15, 2021, which was later released for the PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam) on March 23, 2023. This version was later released in Japanese regions by Unico Inc. in late 2023, who also released a version for arcades (for the NESiCAxLive2 digital distribution platform on PC-based Taito Type X3 hardware) in Japan on November 2022. It will receive a second arcade release by exa-Arcadia (for their PC-based exa-Arcadia hardware) sometime in 2024 as Omen of Sorrow: Arising Chaos.
