So anything solid about a meetup yet?

I'm gonna be there for all 3 days, but will be working for some of the time. Will definitely try to pop-by if there's some sort of meetup going on.

Just as a quick tip for people not from the area, try to find a place selling barbacoa if you've never had it. Every time I've been to the west coast I could never find anyone selling or making it though it isn't a "Texas" thing. It's a great breakfast treat though not particularly good for you.

I also should clarify, Mi Tierra has a Mexican bakery, so they'll have Mexican pastry, not regular bread.

Mi Tierra would be a hike, anything closer to the Riverwalk area?

I'm staying near Mi Tierra apparently, so please lemme know if something happens, I'll be there from tomorrow night through Monday morning.

It's maybe a mile if I remember correctly, just down commerce street. Mexican Manhattan is closer and overlooks the riverwalk. That's the only other large non-chain restaurant that comes to mind easily

Most of the good food is just south of the convention center in Southtown:

Rosario's for Mexican,Alamo Street Eats for foodtrucks, The Station for Pizza and Sandwiches, B&D Ice House for BBQ, and the Friendly Spot for outdoor bar with a ton of stuff on tap.
