Is this game similar to Left for Dead or Counter Strike? Will there be split-screen co-op? and having not played the original is the game still fun solo?

More like Left for Dead, all maps have objectives (based on the first game) however there where a few missions that had you basically waiting out timers taking on waves of dudes.

I don't think the first had split screen on the PC

Solo was fairly boring, you are forced to do every objective your self and considering some go faster if half or all of your co-op buddies bring tools and such that can mean quite the annoyance.

I'll be most likely getting it for 360. I like the L4D, I also play Counter Strike:GO mostly off line with bots, This game would be a definite buy if the console version has split screen. I am debating on this or painkiller hell and damnation.
