Metro 2033 Demo!
" Dave QL pending? "There's already been a Metro 2033 QL. Don't remember if Dave was in it, though.

Wow, what the FUCK is with all the MSI ads in this demo? You're telling me they couldn't put out a demo without ads for other products plastered all over it? I'm thinking these guys don't actually need my money.
Actually the demo is pretty cool, but there are some annoying bits.
Also,
" Thanks. Wonder why it's not on Steam yet though. "It used to be on steam, and still is at least on the UK one.
Also Dave actually reviewed the game, if memory serves he gave it 3 stars due to a few bugs.
Metro was shitty coded. It looked worse than BF2 and gave me 10% of the framerate. With DX11 and HD5850.
Awful awful awful game.
Cryostatsis was at least intriguing and wasn't completely butchered with over the top terrible fake Russian accents.
I gave up on Metro 2033 half way through it.
" @Subject2Change said:Iunno, I thought I was gonna enjoy it. But seriously it had potential. Ran and looked great on my PC as well but the combat was just so janky." Awful awful awful game. Cryostatsis was at least intriguing and wasn't completely butchered with over the top terrible fake Russian accents. I gave up on Metro 2033 half way through it. "no way, metro 2033 was awesome. "
Ran way better than I thought using DX11 with all settings maxed out. Graphics are good, still it could be more realistic though, too many effects.
I felt the Russian accents in Metro 2033 were very smooth and mostly genuine. Steve Blum was the only one VA that kind of muddled it. Singularity is the game that had rough Russian accents. In that game, it's unfortunate to say that Mr. Blum had the best one, and he didn't even deliver it as well as he did in Metro 2033." Awful awful awful game. Cryostatsis was at least intriguing and wasn't completely butchered with over the top terrible fake Russian accents. I gave up on Metro 2033 half way through it. "
Despite the linearity and some of the odd glitches in that game that are very sparse, the game had a very painstakingly crafted atmosphere that was truly unlike any game that came before it. From the design of the weapons to the unique feel of each decrepit and cramped little station you came across, this game really drove you forward. Even with the linearity, there were some smart little secrets and side-stuff you could find that really added to the world and would eventually change the ending, providing you did the right stuff.
Graphically, the game is quite stunning, even when it starts to slow down a bit during a lot of the hectic rendering and effects on my 5970, the game just looks gorgeous and makes excellent use of its color scheme and technology. The abundance of that DX11 motion blur really is a strong visual hook.
Naturally, that's just how I feel.
Damn, I've made myself want to do another playthrough.
I am not sure if I like this game. It has a great setting and everything, but I am not really liking rail shooters anymore. Sure if Valve were to make Episode 3 I would certainly be interested, but otherwise, the lack of freedom in this game was definitely playing on my mind. I glad I did not buy it. People tell me its short too.
" Haters gonna hate. I fucking love Metro 2033, the book and the game. To me, it's game of the year already. "damn right, though maybe not game of the year :P

@Dantekiller
how the hell is it anything like fallout other than the fact that its in a postapocalyptic world (which even looks totally different from fallout)?
