I own a few good PC racing sims, but they are dead online.  I know Live For Speed is pretty popular, but I'm wondering what else is out there.  Is there one big racing sim that everyone plays?

I think Live for Speed is the best free online racing sim you can get right now. I had a blast with it, too.

Hm, alright thanks.  That game is good, but on my notebook it drops below 30 fps when too many people are racing at the same time.  That's why I was looking for other games, and I know of two better looking racing sims that perform better, but aren't very popular unfortunately.  Guess I'll just stick to offline racing until I get a better laptop or something.

@DOUBLESHOCK: You could always try iRacing.com, they seem to have a really large userbase.

I've had a lot of fun with DTM Race Driver 3, always a lot of people playing, but that was some time ago.

aw that game looks very nice, but you have to pay a subscription fee like an MMO.  I would have totally tried that if it was a single price upfront.
