It could be based on performance (good sound/high res/large storage), how much you've spent, the sentimental value, how much you saved on sale, how eco friendly it is, the design, or some other reason (tell us).
For me, its my soundacard, an external one by creative, that outputs optical to my home theater system.

The PC (Personal Computer) is a highly configurable and upgradable gaming platform that, among home systems, sports the widest variety of control methods, largest library of games, and cutting edge graphics and sound capabilities.
What component from your PC are you most proud of: and why?
I love my case as it has allowed me to do some pretty serious OC'ing with just air cooling. It's an Antec 900. Loud as hell but I'm so used to the sound i cant sleep w/o it on i find it to be way to quiet with it off. I get creeped out with how quiet my room is with it off actually.
I have 3 favorite components, my memory, Corsair dominator and it overclocks like crazy, my motherboard, P5Q deluxe for its stability and lots of overclocking features and my 19" SyncMaster 953BW monitor, I was blown away with how good crysis looked on it when I first got it.
I voted for Hard Drive/RAM btw
Well since some people listed more then one i also love my SSD hard drive 128gb, gtx 295 vid card, and pc power and cooling psu. My cpu,, ram, and mb are very good but not compared to the other listed components.
Thats my whole system from another post on this forum.

Soundcard/Speakers: Bose Companion 3 2.1, Soundblaster XFi Titanium PCI-e
Headset/Mic: Bose headhpones/Logitech Deskmic
Keyboard/Mouse: Logitech g15, Microsoft Sidewinder(I really like the sidebutton layout on this mouse)
Monitor: LG 22" Widescreen(IM legally blind and i love this monitor reallyy is easy on my terrible eyes)
Not technically part of my computer but I am very proud of my Dreamcast VGA box.
Seriously. Dreamcast VGA > pretty much everything from the last console generation AND the Wii running at HD, save for maybe the Xbox version of The Warriors at 720p.
Other than that, I'm going to agree with Jakob and say my porn is probably the best part of my PC. My computer sucks, but it can run basically anything I try to play on it. Fallout 3 may look like its running on a PS2 but I don't care, it's still a fun game.
Oddly enough, since I do have a dual core processor and 2 gigs of ram I can play most Source games with everything enabled and cranked up to the highest settings with no frame rate issues or anything. Half-Life 2 and its assorted spin-offs run extremely well on my compooter.

The 900 is an amazing case for sure.
I upgraded to a 1200 this month for a new build and the noise is just as bad (or good - I too find it eeriely quiet without the sound of case fans filling up my room). I'm loving the case though so I'm gonna say thats my favourite part at the moment :)
My gpu is okay, however my monitor is 22" and it looks quite big sitting up close to it. The resolution is 1680X1050 for all games and imo anything higher wouldn't look too different.
