Because of no Vita, I don't actually have the game...in my possession, anyway. I ordered a Solid Gold one and let it ship to a friend back in the States and allowed her to play it on the condition she used that old standby name.

I'm gonna name him Souji Seta as well. Yu Narukami is fine, but I like the other name better.

I'm planning on going with Charlie Tunoku in playthrough 2.

I think I mentioned this in another thread. I named my guy Charles Tunoku. It's a nod to the Endurance Run but not exactly the same because it takes place in an alternate reality (e.g. I picked Music and Soccer) from "canon" Persona 4.

I honestly can't imagine the character not being called Charlie Tunoku.

Calling him Yu Narukami or Souji Seta just feels like if people started calling Jeff by the name "Jiāo Ghoulmāang" or "Jefferson Gumblebottom".

Yes.

I just went with Yu Narukami; stuck to what's "canon". Doing Charlie Tunoku would've been weird because that's not my MC, that's Jeff and Vinny's MC.

After watching the Anime and playing Arena, I'm used to the name Yu by now, I went with that.

Something that isn't Charlie Tunoku just feels wrong in my heart.

Couldn't be bothered to make up a name when that one works fine and didn't want to ape the ER by going with Charlie Tunoku, especially since I didn't pick Chie. That would be wrong.

I started naming my SMT protagonists Zoji Rushi last year. ;)

I wanted to name him Josuke Higashitaka due to the similarities between Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part 4 and the game (small Japanese town, teenagers with special powers hunting for a serial killer, personas essentially being Stands) but it didn't fit the character limit.

Chose Jotaro Kujo (see avatar) instead.

Predictable, but how could anyone resist naming him charlie??

I named him Theodore Revenge, because I normally name my created characters The Revenge. Theodore is a substitue for "The," like how I named my P3P female protagonist Theresa Revenge.

I wish. Most people seem to be naming their guy Yu Narukami, which is kind of annoying because most of my SOS requests are answered by a legion of Yu's. I wanna see different names, damn it!

Roy Shinra. I didn't want to go with Just naming him Charlie, but I like the idea of him having a Japanese last name and a totally not Japanese first name.

I just use Yu, since it's his canon name. I could never come up with a good name for him on my first playthroughs, because I both felt he needed a Japanese name and suck at coming up with names. Yu Narukami fits the character really well, in my opinion.
