More rounds per minute for the TR means more bullets fired in the same about of time compared to the other factions, each bullet doing a bit less damage. As opposed to a shotgun or something that is slow firing but hits very hard. Looks like the one thing we can garner from this poll is that no one likes the stinking Vanu, well.. at least until they get given over powered weapons like the lasher in PS1 !

This game is looking fantastic we need to get a solid outfit up and going. There'll be good voice comms systems ingame by the way, as their goal is to rival TeamSpeak and Ventrilo in terms of channel organization and quality.

I encourage people that are interested in the game to hit up the PlanetSide 2 Twitter account with something amusing for a beta key. It worked for me and said that I now have "priority access", whatever that means.

@Subjugation: It means that you are in for the beta when it launches. I hit them up with a tweet, but clearly I wasn't amusing enough.

My only real issue with the VS is that they had numerous balance issues in the first one (which was finally acknowledged and fixed by the devs eventually, thank gawd), and the new faction-specific aircraft for them in Ps2 has already been admitted by the developers as being OP'ed, which will get balanced in the beta. Still, the "easy-mode" stigma is still there hehe. Normally, I wouldn't care all that much, but it resulted in the average VS player being not as well organized or co-operative (both in teamwork and demeanor) with each other, in my personal experience. Most of them either just Lasher spammed (a rapid fire AoE gun with projectiles that also did AoE damage while in flight? You didn't even have to directly hit anyone with it to do damage, I'm mean c'mon) or just grabbed the Magrider with no gunner and ran over infantry (that couldn't dent it in the first place [also getting tweaked]) since it was ridiculously agile and fast. There's a reason people started calling it the MagMower lol I'm sure some Vanu would say that the Jackhammer was OP, but at least you had to get up close and personal with it. Just some good-nature ribbing, though.

The team that would use the most bombs. Giant ones.

Why don't we just have multiple GB outfits for each faction so we have people to hunt down and kill with some consistency? We have a winner, but, the race is still pretty close.

I was thinking that it would be final at release at the earliest. Ideally, maybe a month afterwards to give everyone who can't get into Beta and have never played either PS game a chance to feel out the different Empires and then vote. I suppose that would also give us a chance to get organized and decide who should be leading this gagglefuck lol.

Literally, and I cannot stress this enough, the game starts off with me falling from the sky onto some platform only to get shot in the back (I assume? I still don't know what the fuck happened) like 3 seconds later. Ok, sure. Then I'm running around with some dudes who are the same color as me looking for someone to shoot and I shot someone, but I'm still not 100% sure if it was a friendly or not. All i know is he looked slightly different and there was no arrow thingy above his head so i pretty much said fuck it and opened fire.

Like, the game seems like it could be fun, but I'm sooooooooooo fucking lost.

Soooo where to start.

- Unlocks take a very long time to get (though the first levels are cheap). I would recommend trying everything first (classes and vehicles).

- Each "map" has main base. Spawn there. More experienced players buy the galaxy transport ships and fly you to the action.

- The goal is to capture an area. If you look at the map you can see which faction holds which areas.

- To capture an area you have do certain tasks. One of them can be capturing points and involve destroying generators. Try to stick to larger groups of players to get the hang of it.

- The game also provides you with an airdrop on a timer. This is used to get "right into the action"..... Well it drops you in a contested area and most of the time you land in an ongoing fight. => You will likely die.

- If you die you then have acces to the nearest spawnareas.

I have already started my NC profile on Connery. Hope to see some fellow Bombers soon! The game is so much better with a good outfit.

@Dezztroy: I made my NC profile on a US West server because that is where I live and I know I won't be playing with Bombers as often as I would like, so I chose it out of personal convenience. You aren't limited to one character so it's not at all out of the question to make the Bomb squad profiles on, say, a US East server to split the distance for all of us.
