Downloading it now myself, hope its good. Its taking forever though, I just wanted to play some Arkham Asylum but downloaded the update instead figuring it take a few seconds. 5 minutes in and its only at 40%, everyone must be online at the same time downloading it.

Mine just finished. Installing now. I to, want to play me some Arkham Asylum!

My PS3 is broken. :(

well, I have it installed, looks pretty good. Very sparkly. But it doesn't seem to be wanting to sign me into the Playstation Network anymore. Uh oh.

yay. I am signed in now. I must say, I like the new layout. Very convenient. The new bar at the top gives info like if you have messages, how many friends you have online, etc. Makes it so there is much less rooting around for stuff you check out often.

Finally finished, at quick glance loving the bigger text. But wheres my new avatars at? I was psyched to finally get something new instead of the same lame as pics that have been there since launch but theres nothing. And they didn't even add the avatar section to the store either.

I like the new opening screen, but SPARKLES? Really? They look ridiculous and tacked on. The new friends status on the top right is great; however, I think the new friends list looks awful. Bland gray? It reminds me of the old Account Management page from 2006.

God damn, I'm on vacation and this is one of the updates I really wanted to see, lucky ducks.

Well if they're  taking time to time to update the system why not at least add it to the store. They didn't even add new free ones. Thats a total shame I get the feeling they are gonna pull a microsoft on us by charging for the avatars all of them. "

I love the sparkles and if you shake the six axis it moves

I like all the icons and stuff but I I'm not feeling the sparkles.  Good thing i can turn them off in system settings.

The new LittleBigPlanet theme is also on the PS Store. It kicks ass. It costs $2.99, however.

Are the speed tests in the connection wizard new? Never noticed that before if they ain't.

Not all that impressed. Mostly cosmetics changes form what I've seen so far. I was expecting more.

Of course the best reason to have this firmware is it fixes the annoying battery meter over the clock! I have all but stopped playing my PS3 because of this! *sarcastic grin & cackling implied liberally*

Pretty meh for an X.0 update.  Friends list is awful and the font belong on the Jitterbug.  I doubt many elderly glaucoma sufferers are avid PS3 users.

Can't wait for moving themes :D
